Food For Thought
Went to Mateo's for dinner. We both had mushroom linguini. I usually like this dish, but tonight, the restaurant made it too rich and creamy. However, surprise, surprise, surprise...I ate it all plus two baskets of rolls. Good thing I wasn't too hungry!Tonight, at dinner, we had an argument about the Nigerian moslem fanatics verses the protestant and catholic fanatics in Ireland. To me, there was a significant difference between a rampaging, blood thirsty mob killing hundreds of people face-to-face verses the violence we have see in Ireland. Dick did not see the distinction. In fact, he felt that what happens between the protestants and catholics may be more abhorrent because both groups believe in the same god, and yet still kill each other. He quoted a paster or minister Bailey (a protestant) who recently said the only good catholic is a dead catholic. We agreed to disagree and went on to other topics.
I am not sure where my heart or my head is on these issues. I cannot condone or understand killing for any kind of religious beliefs.
On this note, I am going to take a puppy break and take Max for a poop break.
