A Little Exercise
While walking Max, we got scared by this huge doberman pincher that is somewhat contained behind the flimsy wooden fence in front of the haunted house (not actually haunted...just LOOKS it!). The dog lunged at the hole he had previously made in the fence (the hole is about 3 X 1/12! The owner has a metal sheet leaning up against the fence where the hole is. I guess she assumes her dog is DUMB and will not figure out how to knock the metal sheet down and kill all the passersby. I got scared but did not want to scare Max. However, I did not have to worry...Max was scared already. He was pulling on his leash to get away from the barking maniac.I was going to complain to the owner of the dog. But, based on the stories I have heard about her (death threats, law suits, paranoia, etc.), I decided to always walk across the street and keep my distance. I'll talk to PG tomorrow since she knows the dog's owner. Maybe, PG can suggest a sturdier barrier to safeguard all our dog walking or jogging neighbors.
